March 2008 - Just over the sand dunes from Seven Mile Beach is a camping and cabin resort complex called Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park where they have everything from large cabins to a field to pitch a tent in. Five of us stayed in one of their Surf Shacks which consist of a double bed and 3 bunks beds. Although simple, it is all you need for a weekend away at the beach. They have a TV, fridge and dishes inside and there is a communal cooking area with tables and barbeques outside. There are communal bathrooms which again, are simple but are really all you need. There is an outdoor pool and a very cool air bag thing for kids to jump on. Although I really liked staying here, I think it is over priced for what you get. Some of the other accommodation options at the resort may be a better value for the money though.
There is a very simple food stall on the other side of the road which suffices for coffee and toast but since there are no other restaurant or food stores within easy walking distance, it is best to go prepared to make your own meals. The local pizza place does deliver here which can be the perfect holiday meal option. I would recommend staying here as the location to Seven Mile Beach and Jervis Bay are great but it is best if you can go in the low season when prices are more reasonable and the place is less crowded.
