"Good Value"
7.50
by Mary (from Camrose)
November 2007 - Bonos is owned and operated by a family which has been in the restaurant business in Camrose for many years. They have recently acquired this small size property, and serve meals all day, every day. They are not open late for the all nighters. At this time of year, the angle of the Earth to the sun is not good, and we asked, and were able to be moved, to a table where the sun did not shine in the eyes of two of our party. The owner really will need to get a better blind system in place.
I had the senior portion of Veal Cordon Swiss. I was pleased to receive the small salad, (soup was also offered), and garlic toast, which are sometimes not included in senior- size meals. The cutlet was tender, and tasty. If there is a complaint, it was that the gravy was not as piping hot as one would hope, but that is a common problem. I felt I received good value for under $10.00. One of my dining companions had the seafood lasagna, which she said was delicious.

"Authentic Greek Meals "
6.50
by Kaye (from Camrose, Alberta, Canada)
September 2007 - The menu in this restaurant includes Greek dishes as well as Western fare so there is something for everyone.
The Greek menu includes moussaka, spanokopita, souvlaki, and other dishes prepared by or under the direction of Greek parents who have had restaurant experience in Camrose for many years. The family run business has just re-opened with former customers happy to see them back.
We visited the restaurant on a Sunday night when the place was full and very noisy. The echo from the kitchen carries. I suspect the back corner is the noisiest so be sure to sit in the east side of the restaurant or by the windows to the west.
A Greek salad was served which was generous and colorful but had only one olive. It seemed that the customers outnumbered the expectations. The dressing was flat. The entree portions were generous with ample vegetables.
Coffee and the meal could have been hotter. The waiter would have taken care of that if I had asked as he was polite and ready to please.
A wine menu is available. Water is brought to the table without request.
This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. It is situated on the north side of the highway on the service road. It has ample parking and is wheelchair accessible.
