September 2007 - The Lucky Dragon Restaurant, as you can probably guess by its name, serves some great Chinese food, as well as the basic burger, grilled cheese, etc., for those family members who do not care for Chinese food.
The Lucky Dragon is a family owned business which has been in Camrose for many years, although under a different original name. It is situated right on the main east-west thoroughfare so it is very visible to the traveller.
While it has the usual combination menu selections, its claim to fame is the daily lunch and dinner smorgs, which include a wide selection of traditional dishes as well as dessert for a very reasonable price.
We chose the Sunday evening smorg, and were not disappointed. Everything from ginger beef to chicken balls to mini egg rolls and more, were plentiful, hot and tasty. A caution- go easy with the spicy soy sauce- there is a good reason for the water pitcher on the table!
Don't look here for a 'late evening dining experience'. The Lucky Dragon closes at 9:oo p.m. While it is fully licensed, it certainly is a family restaurant, and offers a delicious menu, especially for those who have only a short time to stop.
