November 2007 - This place has been a hot spot in Drayton for years. It offers casual dining with a wide variety of food choices. The menu boasts steaks, burgers, all sorts of pastas, veal and appetizers. There are many different salads and desserts. I had the "health conscious" chicken fingers and garden salad. The chicken is breaded in crushed flax seed and brown flour and is delicious! The salad is a house salad with your choice of dressings. My fiancée had lobster tail. He said they cooked the lobster very well with just enough garlic and butter. His meal came with mashed potatoes, garden vegetables and salad. For dessert, we had their chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream. Their food is home cooked and hearty. The portions are a good size. Everything is prepared fresh and the service is great. They have a large wine list and knowledgeable staff. The staff gets to know you by name, and most of them have lived in the town for years. The price is reasonable. My chicken fingers were just under $12 with salad, and dessert was $5. Our meals with 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer came to $52. The service is fast and friendly and you can always substitute anything you want or don't want. We always go out to dinner here when we are in town!
