| "Not just a burger for lunch!" |

August 2007 - We stopped for lunch at Barberos in the Capri Centre in Red Deer, and received the quality service we had expected.
The lunch menu provides enough variety for most tastes. I ordered the rancher burger with the choice of a tossed salad to accompany. Two salad and two potato options were offered. The salad, while on the burger platter, was in a separate bowl, as was the dressing. This was welcome since salad is often used as a 'plate filler' and too much is presented. The burger was served open faced, well done without being dry, and garnished with pickle and red onion rings.
Although the server had great difficulty in pronouncing the desserts- and was rescued by the hostess- I chose the recommended white and brown chocolate cheese cake triangles. This dessert had a name which I can't remember, was presented beautifully, but that is where the treat ends. The cake was somewhat rubbery in texture.
A delicious cup of coffee finished the meal .
Both the server and the hostess were friendly and attentive, without being intrusive.
Care has been taken in planning the decor and seating arrangements of this restaurant. It is exceptionally clean. The washroom has the latest in sanitary equipment, and was well maintained.
This luncheon was in the medium price range, and one I would wholeheartedly recommend.
