| "Poor pool hours" |

October 2007 - While we enjoyed most of our stay at the Westlock Inn, the biggest disappointment was the pool hours. The pool is not open during the buffet hours. In the evening that meant that the pool did not reopen until 8:30 p.m. When travelling with children this is not acceptable. We have stayed in many other hotels where there was a restaurant in the pool area and it did not affect pool hours. For this reason we will likely not make a return visit to the Westlock Inn, and before making reservations at any hotel with a pool, I will be confirming the hours the pool is open.

April 2007 - Driving through Westlock I came across this gem. Our car broke down and we needed a place to stay. I walked into the lobby of this hotel located smack on the corner of highway 18 and highway 44. I was blown away that a hotel in rural Alberta was as nicely decorated and cared for as this one seemed to be.
The front desk person could not me more helpful or caring. At the time, they had no smoke-free rooms left. Once they knew of my sensitivity, they went out of their way to arrange a smoke-free room.
The courtyard restaurant is great... a huge buffet in the most splendid surroundings - again with caring, helpful happy people, who truly seem to love their jobs.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

July 2004 - Everyone is Westlock knows the Westlock Inn and it is considered the best place to stay in town. We stayed here a couple of years ago. It is comfortable and clean. The decor is a little dated but we enjoyed our stay. It is nicer than a travelodge, for example. They have a Sunday brunch here, which is the talk of the town and definately 'the' place to go for a special occassion. If we stay in Westlock again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
