April 2008 - Visited the Aurora Sports Bar, located in the Dunvegan Motor Inn in Fairview, Alberta. Have to say, by FAR one of the best pizzas I have ever had and definately the best in the Peace Region in my opinion. No need to ask for extra cheese here, it comes generously covered! I had a medium pizza with ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon and sausage and have recommended the Aurora to anyone I have met in the area looking for a good 'zaa' since.
The DMI Burger is also delicious but without fail, the bun turns into a soggy mess by the time you are done. Avoid the gravy, it usually tends to have a "stale" taste to it and the poutine is a write off, the must use all of their cheese in the pizza.
Service can be hit and miss though, some days it's amazing, some days kinda slow so if you're in a rush you might not want to chance it but overall a nice night out if you're looking to get out to watch the game on a big screen, they have 2 huge screens, 2 46" and 4 other screens around the bar.
Comfortable, clean & classy, no doubt a good time to be had.
