| "A Thrilling Experience!" |

July 2006 - Kootenay River Runners was a great company to go rafting with while in Golden. A bunch of us came up for the weekend and decided to take the full-day excursion. It started around noon and they picked us up in Golden and brought us to the base camp. A steak lunch was included with our trip and it was pretty tasty. The rafting was amazing. Our guide, Steve, was very informative and he also made us all feel very safe. He uses the type of raft where the clients get to control the boat too, so we had fun working together. We even got our boat to "surf," a phenomenon that Steve was very pleased with. I have done the Upper, Middle and Lower Canyons twice now, and have to stress that the Lower Canyon is the best and worth the extra $40 or whatever it is. It is almost constant rapids and extremely thrilling. Overall, I found the guides at Kootenay River Runners very professional and fun to spend a day with.
