| "Under construction!" |
by Cindy (from Sherwood Park AB) April 2008 - This hotel was underconstruction...pool and hot tub closed, front access limited due to trenches, barricades, etc.
Booked a King suite with pull out couch, room assigned was 2 queen beds...king suite not available...
Front desk employee was very very helpful, called another hotel and got us a king suite for the same rate, was very apologetic, smiled, acknowledged our concerns etc.
Hotel lobby and room we saw was clean and bright, new flooring in the lobby. Didn't see the pool area due to construction.

| "Fossil Bed" |
by B (from Medicine Hat) March 2008 - The Hotel was nice and clean and the continental breakfast was very good. I had booked a king sized bed on-line, but the room they gave me had two queens. The room itself was very nice. In staying with the Dinosaur theme, I would say that it felt like I was sleeping on a fossil bed! It could quite possibly be the hardest bed I've ever slept on.

| "Dino-Delight" |
by Jennifer (from Calgary, AB) September 2007 - The hotel was quiet and close to all amenities. We liked the continental breakfast and the children loved the pool. Travelling with young children, it was especially nice to have a microwave in the room for meals and snacks.

| "Good food" |
by J. (from Horsefly, BC) August 2007 - They don't accept pets but they allow smoking in their rooms. The restaurant service and food was good.

| "Good Place - but be sure to specify non-smoking" |
by Alan (from Halifax, Nova Scotia) July 2007 - This was a good hotel to stay in and we were pleased with the room, the beds, and the continental breakfast. There was one problem when we arrived - we had a smoking room which we did not want. This was *not* good because the hotel (and the town) was fully booked. Luckily for us a kind fellow traveller offered to switch with us so that worked out OK. The problem is some web sites don't ask specifically about this aspect. I have now learned to watch for this and to specify in "special requirements", etc. about non-smoking if it isn't up front.

| "Call to ensure non-smoking rooms" |
by Sally (from 2575 Welsh Crescent, Fernie) July 2007 - We were generally satisfied with our stay at this Best Western, but wouldn't rate it equally with other Best Westerns in bigger cities. We booked online and when we arrived we were given rooms where smoking was permitted. While other hotels stipulated smoking or non-smoking rooms, this one did not. We managed alright, after burning incense to counteract the smell. The clothes still have the smell though and we found that part generally unpleasant. The pool was small and a bit chilly and the hot tub had way too much chlorine (it frothed with bubbles when the jets were on and burned ours and others' eyes). The service was pleasant and there were no bugs, despite warnings to that effect.

| "Not too bad" |
by Jacob (from 2) June 2007 - Not a bad hotel, looked like the pool was dencent (I didn't have time to swim). It was not a large pool, but would be great for kids. Rooms were clean. Great continental breakfast. I was only there for one night and left early in the morning. I didn't use a lot of the services, but if was fine for my purpose.
