June 2007 - On our way from Calgary to Regina, we stopped in Medicine Hat for a coffee and a series of wrong turns lead us away from the highway and in to Downtown, which we didn't mind so much because we wanted to stretch our legs, and downtown Medicine Hat is actually really pretty. The first thing we saw when we parked the car was a big Tim Hortons, and while I like a double double as much as the next girl, we like to support the little guys so we ducked into a cafe across the street, Mad Hatters. This cafe has a cute atmosphere, kind of hippy-esque, and was actually quite busy despite the Tims across the street. I had an iced coffee and my friend had a latte and we enjoyed them both thoroughly. The girls working the counter were reallysweet and friendly, and though our coffee cost more than they would across the street, we enjoyed this experience more.
