"Disappointed"

June 2008 - When booking at the Best Western I would have expected better accomodations and service from this hotel chain. I was not told upon booking that a portion of the rooms were in a section that resembled a motel. The room was stuffy and cramped and I was told there was wireless internet access and upon trying to connect I kept getting a message that there were no available networks in the area. I am not sure if this was because I was not in the main building, but the staff should have been aware of this and advised me. The room was cold and I tried to put on the heat and it was not working. Upon informing the front desk of both the internet and heating problems, I was told a maintenance person would be looking into it. No one ever came nor contacted me. I would not recommend this location and will stay at the Holiday Inn across the street for future trips to Airdrie.

"Quiet, elegant and comvenient hotel"

June 2008 - This 70’s style sand colored hotel is visible from Highway 2. From the outside it looks like a typical medium sized hotel. Upon entering the lobby, it is a very open concept hotel, with a restaurant / bar on the main floor. There is a small seating area in the lobby as well as a desk with two computers for guest use. The elevator was a bit slow, but the stairs were “floating steps” which were interesting. The halls are very plain, but upon opening the door to the room I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and looked brand new! It was decorated with muted modern colors and had large luxurious furniture. There was a round table and two large chairs in the corner and large night tables on either side of the bed. The bathroom was very large and very clean. The fridge and microwave were stainless steel and the windows were very large and had sheer coverings with heavier ones to the sides. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite though the hotel was completely full. The staff were very pleasant as well. Checking in and out was very easy and there were 3 luggage trolleys available for use. The total bill came to $224 for 2 nights. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable nights sleep at a very reasonable rate.

"A disappointment"

February 2007 - I booked one night's stay at this hotel based on the Best Western brand, and the fact that it had a restaurant. I was disappointed in both the hotel and the restaurant. The elevator was in a state of disrepair and the bed in the room was uncomfortable. At breakfast the following morning, the restaurant was out of milk and my order was completely garbled by either the waitress or the cook (or both). I would strongly recommend against staying here, particularly when rival chains have facilities in the immediate vicinity.
