| "Patient Nurses" |

August 2008 - I was visiting my uncle in the hospital when a nurse came into the room to give him some medication. She was very friendly, greeting us and letting us know what she was doing. I watched as she answered my uncle's questions and she was really patient with him. My uncle is not fluent in English but she was able to communicate with him and put him at ease. I was really impressed by the attention and care she provided.

October 2007 - My mom recently spent almost two weeks at the Foothills Hospital. For the most part the staff was friendly and answered questions whenever possible. The only drawbacks we experienced was the time a nurse gave my mom someone else's medication. It was nothing serious but the nurse made it seem like it was my mom's fault. The nurse checked my mom's vitals and then left a couple of pills on the counter beside my mom, which is what she usually did after checking her vitals. The nurse left the room and my mom assumed those were her pills and took them but they weren't. I don't see how my mom could be blamed for that? Anyway, she received pretty good care compared to some of the other horror stories I've heard from other people.
One thing the hospital should consider improving is how much they charge for parking. It's quite sad how they make money off people's misfortunes.
