February 2008 - I would like to commend a great cabbie. He was polite and a great conversatonalist, loved to hear he was a singer and had children. He made the ride pleasant and enjoyable.

May 2007 - Associated cab driver decided to take a short cut down a back alley to avoid traffic. In racing through the alley, he hit a puddle at full speed drenching me from head to toe, only to get half a block ahead of me to wait at a red light. When I caught up to the driver, I knocked on his window and asked him if he was going to pay my drycleaning bill....and all he could say was "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention". When I order a taxi, I want the driver to pay attention....I will not be calling associated cab for a ride and will tell all of my friends about this story. Word of mouth can hurt any business.

April 2007 - I left my cell phone in one of their cabs. I never got it back and I got the runaround when I called to inquire about it.

| "$900 Cab ride..." |

April 2007 - Called at 4:30AM for a ride, for a 5:30AM pickup... should be no problem. 5:45AM arrives and still no cab.... so I call Associated and ask where the cab is. I'm told that I'm second up, and it shouldn't be too long. I explain to the dispatcher... "I have a 7AM flight I need to catch." By 6:15AM, there's still no cab... and that was the point of no return. Missed check-in time and had to rebook onto a later flight... for an extra $900. At just after 7:00AM, after waiting in front of the apartment complex for nearly an hour, I called Associated back... "...I just missed my flight.... where's my taxi?" The dispatcher replies that Associated had CANCELLED my taxi, because they called back on the number I had called from and no one answered. Peeved? Yes. Did I yell, not really... did my cab show up? Yes, at around 0730 or so.
There seems to be a common theme with Associated Cabs not picking people up on time. So far I have been told the reason for the delay was "No cabs in the area." Whatever happened to "Car 11, there's a ride waiting in XXXXX area." None of this "Wait for a cable to meander into your area and we might give you a ride."
I sincerely hope that no one decides to use this company in the future.

| "Do not use Associated Cabs" |

February 2007 - Since when is it a crime to use VISA? Try Associated Cabs. Hopped in a cab today and did not have to go far, went to use VISA and he started yelling at me?!?!?! He said: "If I had known you were going to use VISA and not pay cash I would not have let you in". How's that for customer service.
Yesterday, took a cab to a doctor's appointment and paid cash and he gave me back what he thought I should get after taking his own tip out of it.
Judge for yourself what kind of crooks and creeps work for Associated Cabs.

May 2006 - This company saved me a few hundred dollars by picking me up in record time when the cab I ordered failed to show (see review under Yellow Cabs.) Both the driver and dispatcher were very friendly and understanding and generally awesome. I don't take cabs much but I can tell you that if I do, it will be Associated -- even if it's freezing cold and 10 yellow cabs drive by me and I have to wait for hours. You should too.
