| "Sorry Lilac Lovers" |

May 2007 - I have been the Lilac Fest for the last couple years and I am sad to say that is has gone downhill. Guaranteed it has always been a bit cheesy with hippies showing their wares gathered from abroad and small businesses trying to sell trinkets but it used to be fun. This past year was awful, there was way too many people most of whom were planning to get as drunk as humanely possible. So now it is full of sweaty drunks. Yuck! What happened to the family feel? I say less beer gardens for sure! Sorry Lilac Fest I won't be there next year.

May 2007 - What is the point of having a Lilac festival and not having any Lilacs? Ottawa has a Tulip festival and thousands of Tulips, its amazing. I will not be going in 2008.

| "Way too crowded for me" |

May 2006 - 4th Street gets sooooooo crowed during the Lilac Festival that it's almost impossible to walk down the street without running into people, or their dogs, or their strollers, or all three. I used to love this festival, but now I try to avoid it.
