October 2007 - I love shoes and am usually distraught when my favourite pairs start to show wear and tear. When my absolutely favourite pair of shoes started to look not so shiny and new I rushed to Gravity Pope, where I had bought them, and asked if they could do something. The recommendation was to take them to Alpine Shoe Service and thank goodness for that. A husband-wife team run this little shop in Kensington and every time I am there I receive excellent service and advice. Their prices are more than fair for the quality repair work that they do and it is a relief to know that they do a great job on everything. They know their stuff when it comes to making shoes last so it is always worth asking them if you have a question.
