July 2008 - On a quick visit to Calgary last month, we decided to try the Super 8 Hotel on Barlow Trail. It’s quite close to the Airport and there is an Airport Shuttle. It was a little tricky getting into the building off Barlow, but if you follow the signs, you’ll find the entrance ok.
We were greeted by a very friendly staff and he was quite helpful to us. Our room was average but it was all that we needed. The two Queen beds were comfy and the bathroom was bright and clean with lots of towels. We were able to connect to the free wireless connection quite quickly.
They offer a Super Start breakfast in a lovely but small breakfast room. It was adequate for us. The coffee was hot and fresh tasting.
This Hotel is close to shopping and lots of great restaurants in the area. We were satisfied with our choice and the price was right.

December 2006 - The room was very cold - There were no heat controls -
The bathrooms floor was icy cold.
There was only a weak water flow in shower.
It was hard to get warm or rinse off there!
THere were no bath towels at all! Just a wash cloth and a tiny hand towel.
There were sharp wooden slivers in the sheets that cut into my feet!
There was only one hanger!
Tere were irritating wiring problems - some outlets were unusable resulting in bedside lamp problems
There were inadequate safety bars in shower in handicapped room!
Nice staff at desk!
