September 2007 - If you are a theme park fan with a family this is an ideal place to stay. It is right next door to the Calaway Park outdoor amusement park (close enough to walk to it), but far enough away so it isn’t bothered by the noise of the rides. There is also a discounted entry to the theme park for campground users. It has around 100 hookups for RVs and plenty of clean grass area for tents. We were looking for a campground that was close to Calgary, and this is about as close as you can get at about 25 minutes from the downtown area.
The staff were very helpful and there was lots of information about the Calgary area available in the office. The bathrooms were clean but small (only three stalls) and we had to pay extra for the showers. However, there were reasonably priced laundry facilities, two washing machines and two driers, which were popular but we were able to make use of them. This place really can’t be beaten for its location for family holidays.
