August 2006 - Having been a vegetarian for several years (and a Calgarian for even longer) I'm ashamed to say it took me so long to pay a visit to Buddha's Veggie. But it was definitely worth the wait! Normally when I go to a restaurant, especially in AAA steak-saturated Alberta, there are only three or four things on the menu that I can eat and after a while salad and/or nachos get a bit old. But at Buddha's Veggie I was spoiled for choice as the menu was extensive and everything was vegetarian so I didn't have to search for something I could eat. It was a bit overwhelming actually! We ended up getting dumplings, ginger beef and coconut rice, and everything was delicious! When I used to eat meat I loved ginger beef and have missed it ever since becoming a vegetarian but the ginger beef here was so good I would never have known the difference. In addition the staff was friendly, quick and able to make good recommendations. I had a great experience at Buddha’s Veggie and can’t wait to go back!

June 2006 - So good, all the time. I go here every few months. It is an entirely vegetarian restaurant service psedo-meat Chinese food made with tempeh. Don't miss the ginger beef. I also love the dry ribs. The atmosphere is also nice, often busy, but not hectic. Quite a sattvic environment, serving food that is vegan, non-garlic etc. The portions are large, and fairly well priced ranging from $10-$12 dish. Go!
