| "New Menu" |
by Ann (from Calgary) April 2009 - The decor is modern with an intimate feeling. The clientele includes families and couples. Although they have been around for a while, they have a new menu with lots of variety. The portions are plentiful as always and there was no problem exchanging salad for fries and wholewheat buns. Our server was attentive and left the remainder of the meal while my partner's steak was being cooked some more. My salmon burger was moist and well complemented with sprouts and cucumber. The spinach salad had a tasty dressing. After having a meal there is usually no room for the tempting desserts displayed in the foyer. It is better to just go for coffee to enjoy them as they are good sized portions.

| "Girls night" |
by aarika (from calgary, AB) January 2008 - I went to the SW location with a group of 4 other girls. We were having a girls night out with appetizers, drinks and desserts. I got a Chi Chi (virgin pina colada- pregnant) and it tasted quite orangie. I don't remember pina colada's having orange in them and I used to be a bartender. But it was made with ice cream so it was alright. Then we ordered 4 appetizers and they weren't fantastic but were quite good. I especially enjoyed the potstickers although the dipping sauce wasn't great. One of my girlfriends is an avid wine drinker and she wanted to taste her selection of wine before she ordered a full glass. She was told no at first but the manager was standing to the side of our table where we couldn't see her and after she heard our shocked reactions, she whispered that it would be okay this once. Like everyone else has said, the cheesecakes are delicious and they have continued to do these well. For what we went for, it was a pleasing experience.

| "Dessert better than dinner" |
by Lissette (from Calgary) November 2007 - While the cheesecake has an immense menu, I recommend sticking with ordering burgers, wraps or sandwiches. This is not the greatest place to eat but they do those items fairly well. I went to the Cheesecake cafe in the northeast and ordered a chicken taco wrap. It was very good, and came with a side of fruit. That particular dish comes with cafe chips but I don't recommend them at all. They're homemade-style potato chips, but they're very greasy, tasteless and very often a little too overcooked. Substitute for fries instead. As always though, the desserts are delicious.

| "Good Take-out" |
by Jose (from Calgary, AB) October 2007 - I recently stopped by the south location for some takeout. While my order of chicken and shrimp pasta was just OK, my slice of Callebaut cheesecake was fantastic. The bartender who served me was very helpful.

| "SW location much nicer" |
by Andrea (from Calgary) December 2006 - I’ve been to the NE location many times before and it’s an okay place to eat but I went to the SW one for the first time and I like it a lot better.
The atmosphere is nicer and the restaurant is not as crowded. I also felt the food tasted better. I had a grilled chicken platter (can’t remember the name) and it was pretty good. Chicken was actually tender and juicy with absolutely no fat and I had no problem finishing my entire meal. Didn’t get a chance to try the dessert at this location though so I’ll definitely be back to give that a try.
If given the choice, go to the SW Cheesecake instead.

| "Desserts excellent, but mediocre food" |
by Robin (from Calgary AB) December 2006 - I've been to the cheesecake a couple of times for dessert and always found it to be excellent. I would not recommend eatting there however. I went with some friends to eat there one night and we all ordered different dishes. When they came out they looked really great, but none of them tasted any good (~5 dishes That I tried). I ordered a house salad and It had just a ton of cheese on it. A TON! and one of my friends ordered a stir fry that was particularly awful. I think that maybe the 15 page menu had something to do with it. Jist: Go for dessert and pass on the meal!

| "Heaven for the Sweet Tooth!" |
by Jocelyn (from Calgary, AB) November 2006 - We visited the NE Cheesecake Cafe solely for dessert after dining at another establishment. I hadn't been to the cafe in years, and two in my party had never been. I was surprised at the contemporary atmosphere and extensive menu selections. The service was mediocre, but the dessert was delicious...and I don't even have a sweet tooth!! I got some kind of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and a Rolo Hot Chocolate (to die for). Everyone enjoyed their desserts immensely, although we couldn't move afterwards. I would like to visit the Cheesecake Cafe again in the future to try some of their main courses and appetizers.

| "Make reservations first" |
by Bonnie (from Calgary) October 2006 - This is a very popular place, so if you don't want to wait sometimes upwards of 40 minutes - they do take reservations. The food is not outstanding but tasty, there is a huge variety (even liver and onions for my father) and of course the cheesecakes are great. The service has always been quick and efficient. It's one of our favorite spots for family dining.
