| "Boyds is very very good" |
by Steve (from Calgary, AB) December 2006 - The previous review either reflects a very bad day at Boyds or I would suspect it was posted by a competitor. Calgary has had a great deal of trouble supplying enough labour in the service industry during the current oil boom, so I would not be surprised if Boyds, as others, have had trouble from time to time. However, I have visted the Mcleod Trail location several times in the fall of 2006 and never been disappointed. Service to me has always been fantastic and the food never disappoints. Granted, Calgary is along way from the sea, but Boyds Calamari is the best in town.

| "A Great Disappointment" |
by Barb (from Calgary) September 2006 - I have been a faithful customer of Boyd's restaurant for years. I was extremely disappointed in my visit September 26,2006. The Bowl - not cup- of Clam Chowder contained one whole clam!. Why not just call it Potato Soup. Previously this chowder was famous for the amount of clams in it. No oysters on the menu. The sole reason for my previous visits. The pasta sauce on the Seafood Fettucine was thickened with so much UNCOOKED flour it was truly wallpaper paste! All this for the "priveldge" of very increased prices!! While in the restaurant I noticed three other tables look at the menu, and get up and leave. Now I know why. I am not looking for any reply, or free meal for the e-mail. I just thought you should know that the quality of this restaurant has been greatly reduced, and I will not be back.
Thanks for at least reading this.

| "Fresh and Simple" |

by Martha (from Calgary) March 2004 - As the only seafood fanatics in our family, my dad and I used to head to Boyd's to fill our craving for fresh fish and shellfish. We were never disapointed - the menu items were cooked to perfection, without the frills that some other restaurants waste their time on.
