| "Frustrating Customer Service" |

November 2008 - Canadian Tire has all imaginable products and if you're going there for just a browse you'll probably end up finding something of interest. However, if you are going with something specific in mind and need a little help finding it, chances are, asking the staff for help will only lead to frustration. I don't want to generalize, and I'm sure there are some great people working at Canadian Tire, but so far, my experiences have not been good. I am usually "helped" by people who don't know store product, don't seem to care, and apparently can't find stock that shows up on their computers. From what I can tell, Canadian Tire is a disorganized company with inadequate staff training. After about four frustrating visits now, I have completely given up on Canadian Tire and will not be going back.

| "Appliance Deals" |

August 2008 - I always make an effort to browse through the Canadian Tire flyer to see what appliances are on sale. I have purchased a slow cooker and toaster oven for $20 and a Black and Decker toaster (4 slot-extra wide) for only $30. They also have good deals on household cleaning products. The Hunterhorn location now has self checkouts-very convenient.
