| "Awesome organic produce" |

December 2007 - I have been ordering from SPUD for the last few months. The produce has been fantastic which, if you try to eat organic produce in Calgary you would know, is very hard to come by. The prices are comparible to Safeway non-organic produce. The company also tries to support local farmers whenever they can plus they practice robust enviromental processes. I have once in a while received "sub-par" produce (I once had a cucumber that went soft in 1 day) and once I call they they just take it off my bill no questions asked.
If you want to eat organic and support local businesses I highly recommend SPUD.

January 2007 - I've used SPUD for a while now and it's definitely convenient. The produce is very fresh and very tasty. The organic products are wonderful too. It's reasonably priced. I find that there's usually one thing on every order that they are fresh out of -- which can be a bit of a pain, but really, it's easy enough for me to stop by the grocery store. I've had things delivered to me that went bad right away, and when I contacted SPUD, they were very helpful about it.
I did have one bad experience -- my bin accidentally got delivered to my neighbour, and by the time I got it, I had assumed it wasn't coming so I went and bought all the things I needed that hadn't come. So I basically ended up with double the fruits and veggies, which as you know don't keep for more than a week (boy, was I ever regular that week!) SPUD did what they could but I wasn't really satisfied with the outcome -- I only got discounted for the things that went bad while the bin was MIA.
All in all though, I have been a very happy customer and will continue to use them for a while at least.

October 2006 - I've been getting deliveries for a couple of months now. I love the convenience of it. I get the harvest box, which is a selection of seasonal fruit and veg. I don't even have to think about it, it just comes. The delivery comes in a big rubbermaid container and in the summer it is packed with cooler bags to keep things fresh. I am concered about the winter though as the delivery window is huge (like 12 hours) and I don't have a porch for food to be stashed. But other people I know haven't had a problem. Oh, the prices are good too! Very comparable for organic produce, and there are some very good deals on other products like crackers, juice, bread--they carry just about everything you need for groceries it's impressive!
