March 2008 - This hotel is in the heart of downtown, over looking the river valley. We pulled up to the front and the door man came out to take out luggage. The valet took our truck to be parked. The front desk staff were very quick to pull up our reservation and get our room keys. Our luggage was taken up to the room on the 7th floor. Our windows overlooked the river valley and had beautiful textiles in it. The bathroom was huge with a nice sized shower, a dressing area and a large mirror running half the length of the bathroom. The king size bed was very comfortable and had luxurious white sheets and a down duvet. There was a mini bar and a coffee maker in the room as well as a TV and a desk. There were two good sized arm chairs instead of a couch in the room. The hotel had all the regular things: an iron and ironing board, a blow dryer and soaps and lotions in the bathroom. Our room was in the South East corner of the hotel and had windows on both the East and South walls. The room was quiet. Only once did we hear other guests across the hall. The hotel felt very safe as you had to use your room key to get up the elevator. The room cost just over $200 for the night and was quite reasonably priced for the location and the plush amenities. I would recommend this hotel to traveling couples and the business traveler.
