August 2007 - I went tenting at Allen Beach with my husband, 2 dogs & another couple mid August. We were there no more than a couple of hours & were told by park staff that they do not book sites to anybody without children. We very clearly reserved the site for 4 ADULTS? Am I missing something? Our dogs never barked or ran free & we cleaned up after them. Our garbage was disposed of properly, our site was clean and respectful.

August 2007 - Four of us adults thought Allan Beach would be a good place to camp as it's very close to Edmonton. We arrived on Friday afternoon and early that evening, we were sitting around our camp fire enjoying the nice weather. One of the staff approached us and let us know we shouldn't have been accepted for registration because we had no children. He proceeded to reiterate the rules and we assured compliance. The couple next to us did not have children and they were not approached and the family on the other side of us had music blasting from their car and they were not approached about excessive noise, we finally had to ask them to turn it down! I would not camp there again!!

July 2007 - We stayed at Allan Beach and I was not impressed. We were stuck in like sardines for full hook up. The sewer line hook up was running up hill (which created a whole other problem) and the electrical was farther away and we needed an extension for 220 hook up. Luckily the fellow next door loaned us one...
Running water had a horrible smell...
I was not very impressed at all.

May 2006 - Based on their website, we decided to try out this "resort" for families. Sorry, but you cannot call your place a resort unless it is one! It was a nice place to go and spend a day by the water. Good sand, fun little mom n pop sort of place. Not a resort. However, I would go back to relax by the water and enjoy the day.
