September 2007 - Hotel is located near a shopping mall with a lot of amenities nearby. The lobby was clean with a sitting area for comfort if you have to wait. Check in was fast with reservations made in advance. There are 5 floors to this hotel. The rooms were clean and a good size. They had quite a few samples in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouthwash, toothbrush, shower cap, soap, shoe shine kit, shoe horn, vanity kit (q-tips, cotton balls) and sewing kit).
The bathroom itself had a few issues. The toilet didn't seem to flush properly (we usually had to flush twice) and the water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent. The temperature of the shower only turned warm about half way through the shower (after shampoo was in hair). This was the case for both my guest and myself (one had a shower at 9 pm and the other at 9:30 am, so it's not as though it's only in the morning when most guests would be using the showers).
They turned down the beds leaving a chocolate near the pillow. They only left 1 chocolate in the room when they knew there were 2 guests so I was a bit disappointed in that. They provided danishes and muffins and one bottle of water for their continental breakfast (inside each room). The breakfast was placed in the room the night before (when they brought the chocolate in).
Price was reasonable...we had a double bed in a room with a door and a pullout couch in the front living area where the kitchenette was. Each room had their own television. Other than the water pressure and toilet issue, the other downside that I encountered was the strange odor that was in the stairwell and the hallways. It looked clean but didn’t smell that way.
I would rate this hotel 7.5 out of 10.
