June 2007 - Well, having been to this restaurant a few times in the past, I guess I should have known what to expect. However, it was still disappointing. We went for Sunday lunch, and about the only good point was that there was no line-up when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Their menu has been updated, and looks quite good, but does not live up to the colorful pictures and exciting write-ups about the food. My husband ordered the new "Quesadilla Burger" which looked fantastic. It wasn't. It was positively dripping with sauce, and that was all you could taste. It was messy, and although somewhat tasty, would never be ordered again by my husband. I chose the Chicken Fried Chicken, as it was a little gloomy outside and some comfort food seemed fitting. The waiter informed me they were out of the chicken gravy, but their house gravy (a.k.a. brown gravy) almost "tasted identical". I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. When the chicken arrived it truely looked and tasted like breaded chicken breasts you buy frozen in a box from the grocery store. Not homemade batter at all. It was ok, but the gravy was "beef" gravy and totally un-fitting to accommodate chicken. Overall, we found the food over-priced for what you get - our total bill came to about $40 for 2 meals, a pop and a coffee. The service was ok, but if we're not looking for a light snack before a movie, I doubt we'll be back for a meal.
