December 2007 - This is a review for the new Joey's location on the West end. Amazing! The restaurant itself is gorgeous, modern, inviting. I can't say enough about the food. Reasonable prices, for what you get. The steak I had was incredible - the best steak I've had in a long time. The mashed potatoes cooked in philo pastery were soooo good, I actually have dreams about them at night. Even the green beans were good, and I hate green beans. Overall, this is what a steak restaurant should be. I've been very disappointed with more mainstream "steak" houses in Edmonton lately, and finding the fabulous food at Joey's was a pleasant surprise. This is my new favourite steak restaurant, and we will be back every time I want a good peice of meat!

| "The best Red Curry I've found" |

June 2007 - Every time I go to Joey's I order the same thing: the Panang Prawn Curry Bowl. This red curry dish is moderately spicy and too big to finish in one sitting. Prawns, veggies (including bok choy- yum!), coconut milk, cilantro, peanuts and the sauce create the best red curry I've tasted. The presentation is very appealing, with a tower of rice in the middle of the plate.
Joey's makes a very good bellini, and on Wednesdays you can order them by the pitchers for a special price.
This restaurant is a little pricey if you are looking for casual dining, and it is not very kid-friendly (no kids' menus, booster seats, or coloring pages), but the food is excellent.
