July 2007 - I recently walked into the Jasper location of the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen. I was meeting some friends for a late lunch. I hate to say that I left horribly disappointed only after a few minutes. I entered the restaurant and patiently waited for someone to greet me. I waited and waited and waited some more. I know they saw me at the front because I did see them look up and at me when I walked into the restaurant. Yet, no one came. Not even a, "Hi. I'll be right with you." Nothing. The restaurant was barely half full and I only saw a couple of staff in the front. Where did the rest of them go? Finally after a few minutes the guy from the bar walks towards the front and proceeds to ignore me and takes the two people that came in AFTER me to a table! Even after he seated those two, he just went back to the bar, started talking to another guy at the bar and forgot about me. I stood there for over five minutes and NO BODY acknowledged me. Where was the hostess? Where was anybody?
Needless to say, I left and called my friends and told them to meet me at a different restaurant.
On the other hand, the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen on the south side - great service and great food.
