"Touch of class & food"

May 2009 - Moving from south India & finding good authentic Indian food was very tough. Most of the restaurants on 34 ave do not concentrate on good quality of traditional east Indian cuisine. Rather decide to cater sweet (mithai) eaters. Passion for cuisine needs creativity. A SriLankan friend of mine took me over to Indian Grill located in a corner in a strip mall on 99street. Restaurant's location definately gives a look of warehouse but????????? It was very nicely decorated with rich colour walls, drapes & paintings. A nice ambiance with good presentaion of buffet. I could not find any sweet shelf as mostly Indian restaurants do. A beautiful waterfall near food is a good gesture.
Menu option was there but we opted for buffet. Very good food, reminds me of one of the best Punjabi restaurants in Bangalore. Service was at par with any decent restaurant. Good variety in desserts but lacking tradition Indian desserts. Very reasonably priced. Tons of diffrent beers in their cooler. For food I would give then 9&1/2 out of 10 except desserts. A very nice place for family fine dining. I will sure be coming back to try their a le carte.

"Very consistent"

May 2009 - I have tried there food twice by delivary & pick up. The food was very consistent & phone service was very prompt & courteous. My husband made reservations for this friday. O my god, I never expected this restaurant to that big and nicely decorated. We opted for a booth & were given without any if or but. I could not resist myself from eating buffet & a chai tea.My husband tried Cobra Indian beer and ordered a papadum & went for buffet. I must say that their ambiance is great. Being friday the restaurant was fairly busy but we were never ignored. My husband is very fascinated with their beer variety. This is third time Ive got good indian food with consistency. I am definitely coming back. Good chef.

"Good Dining experience"

April 2009 - I have been to most of the restaurants in Edmonton. A fellow associate suggested for indian lunch & suggested India Grill. Group of 6 of us went. Very tastefully decorated with rich colours. Although it is nicely decorated but their chairs need refixing. Remarkable presentation of buffet with nice & clean granite. Big saladbar & lots of condiments. Service was very attentive. the waiter filled our water glasses. The cook came with fresh nans to our table. It looked very busy for a weekday.
Good combination of desserts but I wish they had Mango custard instead of Vanilla. Good dining experience, I will take my wife & friends & will go back.

"Good consistant food is always a winner"

April 2009 - I have been eating this restaurant"s food ever since it was called Asian Hut Restaurant. It was either a take out or a delivary. Our relatives arrived from Liverpool and we decided for a dine out. Wife suggestted to visit Indian Grill. We were greeted at the door by their Manager/owner. After a breif round of drinks order we decided to go for buffet. A large selection of dishes were enough but we also ordered a hot shrimp Marsala. Their buffet is presented in a very nice manner. Fresh nans were served on the table. I could barely find any diffrence in take-out/delivary food or eating in restaurant. I grew up with curries so my pallet is hot but food in buffet is mild. Beef vindloo & Butter chicken became more tastier with adding hot sauce.
Our guest's were impressed so was my wife who came after 6 years in this place. The restaurant has been renovated very extensivaly to quite upscale. We would like be back more often than ordering takeout. Well Done

April 2009 - We live near Capilano. I had tried lots of Indian food in Toronto. wonderful Indian restaurants in brampton. After checking net we found their website. My husband decided for pickup but later we changed our mind for food delivery. The phone was answered in very courteous manner. We ordered Butter chicken with white meat & a special vegetarian dish called Malai Kofta. steam rice & an extra coconut nan. The food was delivered in a very timely fashion & was fairly hot in temperature. Fairly large quantity and very tasty. After quite some time I enjoyed Indian food. We are going to be ordering from them regularly. There would be 10% discount on pickup.I can now call my friends for diner with india grill's food.
