September 2007 - This is a little diner on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta. It seats approximately 60 patrons with 2 half moon counters with stools that seat 8 each. It has the ambience of the show Rosanne or Beverly Hills 90210.
They didn't seem prepared to accommodate a full room with their staff but did the best they could. I was in a party of 9 people that seemed to overwhelm the servers (there were only 2). The staff was friendly but really bustling around. I don't think it is a place to make reservations at so I would recommend going for a Sunday brunch at 10:30 am. I believe they are open from 9 am - 2 pm on Sundays. I didn't note what their hours were for the weekdays.
I enjoyed the Denver & Cheese Omelette with a large chocolate milk. The price was great for the portion you receive. The omelette came with hash browns and 2 slices of toast. I would recommend this place for a Sunday brunch (that is when we went) for a small party (2 or possibly 4 people).
They are a "cash only" establishment so make sure you stop at a banking machine before you head over. But honestly, the prices are so reasonable that most customers would have that bit of cash in their pockets.
I would rate this place a 7 out of 10, only because we did have to wait to place our order and then wait again for it to be cooked. It would definitely be a 9 out of 10 if the service was faster.
