June 2008 - From the outside, the Niski Inn looks like any other hotel. As soon as you enter the front doors you see how grand it truly is. The formal dinning room is an island with a river around it. The rooms are all around the main dinning area which has two swimming pools beside it. It is a tropical oasis. The staff are very friendly. As soon as we sat down for breakfast our waitress brought coffee. The menu was already on the table and offered a wide variety of breakfast items. I ordered the scrambled eggs, but did not want the toast or bacon or sausage. The waitress offered to substitute fresh fruit instead. My mother in law had wildberry yogurt, cottage cheese and fresh fruit. The breakfast room was less formal than the main dinning room. The hotel was very quiet and we could hear the water circulating in the ponds. Our meals were out within 10 minutes of us ordering them. My eggs were perfect! Not greasy like some places make them. Everything was wonderful. The portions were just right and the fruit was very ripe. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The bill was very reasonable at $24 including tip. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Nisku area. It is very close to the Edmonton International Airport and is a wonderful place to dine. I will defiantly return to the Nisku Inn.
