| "A nice place to be" |

by Kamila (from Calgary) September 2007 - Over all this is a nice hotel. The lobby is large with nice decor and they also have a few nice restaurants in the hotel as well. They also have a small but nice beauty parlor inside.
The rooms are average rooms that are clean but I can not say that there was anything special about them. The beds are ok, a little on the hard side. The bathroom are clean and they always restock everything that you need.
It has a nice gym with a pool. I would say that this is a nice place to be for a family. There is a lot to do and you don’t have to stray far from the hotel. In addition the hotel is nice and quiet. The location of the hotel is great. It’s downtown and has a lot of nice little shops and restaurants right around the corner.
The staff is friendly and the check in and check out process always goes great. The only complaint that I have is that I forgot something in my room one time and instead of returning it to me they gave it to someone else in the company that I work for (over 11,000 people) and expected them to get it back to me. Needless to say I didn’t get it back.

by Maureen (from Calgary, Alberta) June 2007 - Hotels for me are my second home. I work in the travel industry and thus spend about half my life (or at least nights) in a hotel room bed. The bed is top priority for me. If the bed isn't comfortable then nothing else matters, good or bad. I have stayed overnight a few times at the Beausejour and in each bed I've stayed in I've always had a great sleep as the beds here are very comfy and they have fluffy AND flat pillows (Great Perk!). Another perk of the hotel is that even though you're in the middle of downtown, even on a weekend when the bars are packed, these rooms must be very well insulated because you cannot hear a peep from outside or in the hotel.
The hotel should spend a little more on room upkeep as the bathroom leaves a little to be desired with the horrible florescent lighting and the bathtubs that refuse to drain. The rest of the room was pleasant though. The rooms coffee pot, carpet, walls, bed linen and bathroom, as well as the lobby and hallways were obviously very well maintained by the staff. The "free goodies" as I like to call them are not the dollar store variety, they do carry a very nice collection of shampoos/conditioners and soaps that I always bring home with me.
I find the staff there always pleasant, accomodating and very helpful. One of the gentlemen in our "party" was pleasantly suprised when he inquired about a barber shop and found it was right in the hotel lobby (only $15). I didn't take a dip in the pool but poked my head into the pool room and saw a young family having a great time splashing around. During my recent stay, it was a beautiful day out and when I inquired about a place to jog, one of the ladies at the desk drew out a map of where to go for a scenic jog around one of the nearby lakes.
By far the best thing about this hotel is the location! Moncton is a beautiful city and the hotel Beausejour is smack dab in the middle of it. With a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, and a Tim Hortons and Cora's Diner waiting directly out the front door, you couldnt ask for a better way to start your morning!
