May 2008 - I went to the Pizza Delight in Bay Roberts for the lunch hour combo specials. However, once inside I was persuaded to purchase the buffet which was only open ‘til 2 pm. Because the buffet would soon be closing my expectations were not high. I still enjoyed the offerings.
While the salad bar had a lot of variety, without thousand islands dressing, I passed on a salad. The pasta classica was a bit dried out and not warm. The penne was covered with very little cheese. The hash brown casserole was better. The Works pizza slice was okay. The square Hawaiian Delight pizza was thin on pineapple. The other unidentified square pizza had lots of yummy cheese and small pieces of meat.
Apparently, no dessert is provided with the buffet. There is a delicious looking bread bar included: five varieties of spreads and five different breads. I had no room for dessert or bread.
Service was good. An IQ tester game is provided at each table to help pass the time. I had to disturb the server's break to pay my bill and leave. This was Newfoundland; I was in no hurry.
