May 2007 - Fog City is located in St John’s largest shopping mall, The Avalon Mall, strategically situated between the food court and cinema complex. Many customers arrange their evening around the Dinner & A Movie purchase. Buy an entree at Fog City and receive a movie ticket for Empire Theatres. You will have little trouble getting to the movie on time and you won’t have room for that expensive popcorn.
Full of young movie goers, this is a relaxed and noisy place. It may be too noisy for some. You might catch your sports team’s highlights on the big screen televisions. I noticed that a few coaches had brought their teams to Fog City for post-game celebrations.
The food is fast and adequate but not exceptional. The menu is large and there are some Newfoundland entrees. I enjoyed my cod tongues. Do not expect great things from Fog City but that many young Newfoundlanders can’t be wrong.
