August 2007 - I was immediately impressed by how large the room was. It was basically like a townhouse or apartment. It was absolutely clean, the kitchen had all the gear I needed, and the bed was really comfortable.
The service was extraordinary. A light was blinking in the bathroom, and the shower nozzle was loose, so I mentioned it in passing to the owner. I told her she didn't need to worry about it until we left as we were OK with it, but when we came back that evening the light was fixed and there was a new shower nozzle.
I shopped like crazy before going on vacation. I read all the reviews I could find, and I stayed at a number of hotels and B&Bs throughout Nova Scotia, and on PEI and in New Brunswick. Le Manoir Samson, and the Chateau de la Baie in Littlebrook were far and away the best places to stay. Trust a guy who saved money for a vacation, and needed to get the most out of it.
My only fear is that if others know how good these hotels are, I'll find it harder to get a room next time.
