| "Bland Experience" |
|
|
by Brandy (from Dartmouth) October 2007 - The Colby Ale House, located at 900 Cole Harbour Road, was a pretty bland experience. The pub, which is located in a strip mall, was very dark and deserted. There was one other table besides our own in this fairly large establishment. The bar server seemed disinterested in taking our order since it took over 10 minutes to visit our table. The menu items were typical pub food with a splash of German influence. I ordered the special of the day which consisted of spaghetti with meat sauce and Caesar salad for a cheap $7.95 + tax + gratuity. The price reflected the quality of the dish. On the brighter side, there did seem to be a good selection of beer again featuring German influences. And from the advertisement on the table, there looked like there was bar games later in the week. As for people to play these games that is something I do not know.
