| "Good Family Seafood Restaurant" |
|
|
by Brandy (from Dartmouth) February 2008 - Boondocks in Eastern Passage is a decent family seafood restaurant. It is easily identified with the large shark jaws affixed above its entrance. It is located in a trendy tourist village by the water. It is not usually very busy so reservations are probably not required. This does not mean Boondocks is not worth visiting. On the contrary, the restaurant serves a good variety of seafood dishes. The Haddock and Fries was served as a large portion. The fish was battered just the right amount and had a great taste: not too fishy. The seafood sampler was excellent. It had a little bit of everything but the scallops were especially tasty, cooked just right. The shrimp and fries were also good. The service was very friendly and appropriately attentive. The food did take a little bit longer than expected to arrive. Although, the price was just right. For a family of four, four mains and two drinks cost only $65 after tax before tip. There are also many tables with a view of the water. They provide especially nice views when the sun is setting.
