January 2008 - I have spend countless nights in countless hotels so believe me when I say that when a hotel stands out, it REALLY stands out! The Delta Halifax is just such a hotel. Walking in the front doors the hotel is immaculately clean and the staff is so friendly that it immediately makes a great impression. My room, a corner suite with a king size bed was equally as clean and impressive. A soft, comfortable sofa lined one of the walls so it was nice to relax without having to lie in bed or sit in an office desk right away. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were better than my own at home (the pillows are a huge thing for me) there was actually a selection of pillows: flat, puffy, medium, small...this was mind blowing! The bathroom was sparkling and the shower pressure fantastic! The hotel guest office with free internet access has 3 private cubicles with computer and printer and was very convenient. One of the best parts about the hotel is that it is located in central downtown Halifax with great restaurants and shops right outside the doors, and even in cold rainy Halifax weather, you don't have to be stuck inside...the hotel connects directly to a small mini mall with a fantastic food court, pharmacy, shops and a starbucks to boot!
All in all, this hotel rocks the Maritimes!
