May 2008 - Bubbles Mansion is a self proclaimed ‘eatery and drinkery’ themed after the iconic Canadian television show the Trailer Park Boys. As an admitted fan of the show, I thought the restaurant was fantastic. For any fan of the show, eating here is a must. The interior was surprisingly bright, open, and clean: something the ‘boys’ are not known for. There are several compartments to the restaurant including an upstairs patio, the main seating area, and even Bubbles’ own 70s era lounge. The interior also features props and pictures from the show, televisions showing episodes of the show and even a shopping cart condiment holder on every table. What is very exciting about this restaurant is their diverse and unique menu featuring such things as Lobster Grilled Cheese, Pad Thai, and a Samsquamtch Burger. The grilled cheese was great and contained nice chucks of lobster. Menu items range in price from $10 to $20 before tax. They also have great food specials everyday of the week. Even if you haven’t seen the show, you will probably enjoy the fun atmosphere and the great food. Bubbles Mansion is easily the most fun and most memorable restaurant in Halifax.
