| "Memorable, mouth-watering crêpes" |

by Joshua (from Halifax, NS) July 2008 - The Crêperie Mobile serves up their delicious sweet and savoury crêpes every Saturday at the Halifax Farmer's Market. I have only discovered them recently, and have tried both their smoked salmon and their ham, egg, and cheese menu items. The quality of their ingredients stands out, and for freshness you can't beat their unique, made-right-in-front-of-you approach. Plus, the staff are genuinely friendly and call you by name, rounding out an overall great experience. In addition to their station in the Market, they also offer catering services, and I would definitely consider Crêperie Mobile for my next conference breakfast or party.

| "Always a Line" |

by Brandy (from Dartmouth) August 2007 - While the name does suggest a certain mobility, the Creperie Mobile du beret has a permanent set-up within Halifax’s downtown Farmers’ Market. The Farmers’ Market is located at 1496 Lower Water Street and is open every Saturday. The Creperie also operates a catering business whereby their chefs, along with their carts and all the needed supplies and ingredients, will prepare their delicious crepes. There is always a line for the Creperie each Saturday. On this particular visit, the wait was about ten minutes. Crepes range in price from about $3 to $6. The staff is very friendly and most speak both English and French. The crepes are prepared on hotplates and, as should be expected, are very thin. Yet, somehow they hold in all their delicious ingredients. On this August visit a ham, cheese, and tomato crepe and a blueberry, maple syrup crepe were ordered. The former was very delicious and worth the $3 or $4 spent. The latter, among the most expensive menu items, was unremarkable: the blueberries did not hold much taste. While a visit to the Creperie Mobile du beret is a must the taste of your first crepe will determine your desire to go back. If the decision is not to go back, the owners of the Creperie are not likely to notice: there is always a line for their crepes.
