January 2008 - My Father’s Moustache pub/restaurant, located on Spring Garden Road, was an enjoyable and inexpensive night out. We went to this establishment on a Tuesday evening which happened to have a great special: purchase a 6 oz steak dinner for $9.99 and get a second steak for a penny…what a deal!!!. Since a 6 oz steak dinner is plenty for me and my husband we each had our own tasty steak dinner, complete with your choice of potato and kernel corn, for a combined total of $ 10.00 +tax + gratuity. I am unsure if this is a weekly special or just a ‘one-off’ deal, though I suspect that it might be a weekly deal because it was a full house. Even though it was busy it did not take very long to find a table (always a plus). Our Server was prompt and friendly though our food did take a while to arrive. We expected this as it looked like everyone had ordered the same thing. From our observation of the demographic of this place it looked like it might be a favorite watering hole for the nearby Dalhousie University students. We will definitely wander over to this pub again for its tasty food and buzzing atmosphere.
