August 2006 - hey all,
nelson only had a few options for budget accomodation and this is one of the TOP CHOICES!! (skip the royal mountain inn and the new grand hostel, the first is never open or available and the second is old and gross and smoky!!) the downtown location made it easy to get around and the staff are laid back and helpful. Duke, the hostelīs resident dog, is a sweety too. All the dorm and private rooms have their own full bathrooms that were all recently renovated, making this one of the top stays on my trip through B.C. Clean kitchen and some free internet times in the cafe during the week were also appreciated. Nelson is a beautiful place to visit, i canīt wait to go back in the winter to enjoy the snow too!!!
