June 2008 - We were recommended to eat here on Friday evening as there is a two for one deal on steaks, so we duly entered the place and sat down for dinner. Aside from the fact that it was two for one I really didn’t find a lot to recommend the place. It may have been the dining room that was uninspiring or the wait service, which was slow and unfriendly but I will not be returning. The steak was good to be fair, and the prawns that accompanied it if you chose were also tasty according to my dining companions but the choice of boiled potato, mash potato or a tired salad of iceberg lettuce and tomato to accompany it were really a side barely worth mentioning. The waitress may have been new to the place, but she was quite gruff with us, instructing us how to order and then not returning to the table. In fact another waitress actually served us. I would some this place up by saying if you want good quality steak and you don’t care about anything else then it was great.
