January 2008 - I’m not saying the rest of Fernie isn’t sophisticated but this little place oozes the stuff, or certainly tries to. It has high ceilings very nice fully coordinated sofas and armchairs and high-level bar style chairs and tables as well as lower tables. All the decor matches and has a new and expensive feel to it. The counter and offerings behind it are small yet perfectly formed. The coffees are what I would call European, maybe French or Italian in style, that is, they are quite small! When you order a simple coffee they provide individual tiny milk jugs. While this was a nice touch for me it was not enough of the white stuff, I had to go back and ask for more a couple of times.
The staff are very friendly and want to make sure you are happy with your order, but they almost fall over themselves in their desperation to please, which detracts a little from the air of refinement that they have worked so hard to achieve. All in all a different place that I like to spend time in, they are open until 10.00pm as well which is nice alternative to a bar for a late evening socializing.

August 2007 - While in Fernie this last summer, we stopped for a drink at this new, posh coffee shop, located on Fernie's historic main street downtown. The coffee was good but the desserts were a dream and the staff were very friendly and professional. Overall, it was a nice place and recommended to those who want a smart, stylish atmosphere for a cappuccino, a piece of decadent chocolate cake or an informal business meeting.
If you're looking for something more casual and youthful, try Freshies across the street, equally good but an entirely different feel.
