February 2008 - The Curry Bowl is a great little place to eat, and it is little. You can’t book a table so it works on a first come first served basis. We had heard this and so arrived at 6.00pm on Friday night. There were two tables for two available so we were lucky and didn’t have to wait. On the one previous occasion that we tried to eat here we faced a 50 minute wait and because we were ravenous we went for an alternative.
The food was excellent. Several different kinds of Asian sounding dishes were on the menu. It seemed mostly Thai although there were things I recognized as being Indian, Vietnamese and Japanese. I choose an Indian dish, Vegetable Keema and we started with poppadums and mango chutney. The small wood interior definitely gave it the cozy feel and the wait staff were friendly and sufficiently attentive.
