| "Steep and deep" |

February 2008 - If you like steep and deep, the slopes of Fernie Alpine Resort are hard to beat. I've gone snowboarding several times in Fernie and each time I go, I find more areas to explore and more fun to have! I like ski hills that are laid back and friendly and Fernie's slopes and everyday staff are just that. But while the mountain is great, the resort itself leaves a bit to be desired. The day lodge is usually cramped and cold and passes seem a little expensive given the quality of the lifts. But hey, steep and deep usually wins out!
