October 2008 - We noticed the Legendz Diner upon driving to our hotel in Golden, BC. It is right on the service road beside the highway and is hard to miss because it looks quite funky from the outside with flashy neon lights. The fun interior décor looks like that of an old 50s style diner. Because the kitchen at our hotel had already shut down, we ordered take out food from this diner. I ordered a hamburger steak with french fries and salad. My meal was enjoyable. My other dining partners split an order of grilled cheese and a hot dog with french fries. Unfortunately the hot dog smelled off and could not be eaten but the grilled cheese was a hit. The french fries with all the meals were also tasty. All in all it was typical diner food, nothing too special. The pricing was appropriate for the selection and quality of food.

August 2007 - Legendz Diner is located right on the trans Canada Highway in Golden and is worth a stop. The restaurant is designed as an oldies diner from the 1950's, complete with a jukebox, booths and old fashioned milk shakes. The atmosphere in there is great and makes you feel like you have gone back in time a little.
I had the grilled cheese sandwhich with fries and a chocolate milkshake. The sandwhich and the fries were good but the milkshake was fantastic. It was thick and creamy and I almost just could have had that for my meal as it was very filling. The friend I was with had a burger and he raved about it saying it was very tasty. It was not overly busy when we were in there but it was the middle of a weekday afternoon. We were told by staff that if you are there for lunch or dinner on a weekend, and especially a long weekend, during the summer, you might have to wait awhile to get a seat.
The diner has been in Golden for some time now and is a favorite amoung locals and travelers alike.
