| "The Best Place to Relax" |

July 2007 - Having spent a lot of time in Golden last year, my favourite place to go for good eats at a reasonable price and to spend some quiet time was at Bacchus Books. The owners are friendly, the environment warm and cozy and it's just the place to go whether with friends or by yourself. While I found their assortment of new and used books to be very broad considering it's not a huge franchise store, if they don't have what you're looking for, the owners are more than willing to order it in for you. There's something for everyone.

July 2007 - The aesthetics of the town and buildings of Golden don't necessarily impress at first glance but the yellow Bacchus Books and Cafe, on the corner of 9th Street, is immediately noticeable as a shop with character. The bookstore carries mostly used books but has an interesting selection of good reads and there is a sweet little cafe/coffee shop upstairs amidst more shelves of books, which served a great coffee and breakfast bagel.
Now, if only the shop could multiply and give Golden a town to match its ski mountain. The locals are some of the friendliest I've met but the buildings could do with a face lift.
