May 2008 - When I booked something called 'Gold' at Panorama, it came with a certain level of expectation. The Tamarack is given 4 stars by the resort for its worn and dated decor, broken toilet handle, tiny TV that is hard to view from the couch, and hallway exit sign dangling by its wires. The area is lovely and the hot pools are great. (other than the part where I was told about the water slides at the time I made the reservation, only to discover that they closed an hour before check-in and were not going to be open the next day). I would suggest they re-calibrate the rating to avoid disappointment...then again maybe I should be happy I didn't go for silver or bronze.
