"A good soak"
by Stacey (from Fernie)
March 2008 - Finding most commercialized hot springs to be quite cheesy and not overly appealing, I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit to Radium Hot Springs. The pool area was clean and quiet and integrated quite well into the cliffs around it. We were there with family and young ones so the different temperatures within the main pool itself was ideal - the kiddies could paddle about at the coolish end while we soaked in the warm end and the plunger pool. All in all, a very pleasant outing - even the occasional grind of a lorry heading through the canyon didn't spoil the experience.

"Stunning"
by Kelly (from Banff)
February 2008 - My first trip to Radium Hot Springs was a great experience. I drove up from Banff for the day – only and hour and a half away. My first thought was; these hot springs really are huge! There is so much space! I was amazed. With only a few other people in the pool and the steam rising up, it felt like I had the pool to myself. I was also lucky enough to have gone in February when it was around –30 C. Because of the cold air mixing with the steam off the pool, everything from the rock surfaces and the trees to the outdoor lifeguard chair around the pool was covered in a thick layer of sparkling frost. With the sun shining, it was absolutely stunning. I think my favourite part was the “surprise plunge pool” that is just next to the main pool. It’s quite a bit hotter than the rest of the pool and you can only go in for about 5 minutes at a time, but it was a great 5 minutes. Overall, it was a great experience.
